Just a short walk from Rye’s Number 16 Beach, and a five minute drive to Alba Thermal Springs, this expansive home offers seclusion and privacy under the shade of moonah trees. It’s built by Melbourne interior designer Larritt Evans, known for their clean lines and pared-back aesthetic.

The stay is ideal for large groups, fitting ten guests. There are two spacious pavilions – the upper is geared for entertaining, with a contemporary kitchen and al fresco dining area, record player and wood fire. On the lower, find four bedrooms totalling seven beds (including a bunk room and master with ensuite), plus a rumpus room. Outside, there’s a wide patio, fire pit and lawn.

You can cosy up by the fire or take a long soak in the marble-clad tub, before retreating into one of the light-dappled bedrooms. Bedrooms and dining and entertaining areas are separated by the pavilions, so you can get some shut-eye while the rest of the group chats into the night.
