While this Malaysian-Chinese restaurant’s interior design is a little mismatched, there’s nothing confused about the food. There’s a theatre element too – watching the Malay chefs and roti wizards stretch and spin endless amounts of roti dough is part of the experience.

When it arrives at your table, use it to mop up dahl, curry and sambal, authentically served to you on a tin platter. Popular dishes such as nasi lemak and chicken curry are true to the streets of Kuala Lumpur, while house-made chilli oil will pack a punch to the dumplings (which are handmade by the head chef’s mum) on the weekend-only yum cha menu.

Turn the heat down with a simple Malaysian treat; the Milo Dinosaur: a cold Milo over ice.
