Os Kitchen & Wine Bar
Inspired by a want to enhance his local community (and work closer to his home and family), Alastair Dobbs (most recently restaurant manager at Enoteca on Church Street in Richmond) opened a kitchen and wine bar two minutes from his house in Hampton: Os.
Designed by ACRD, the room is soft, elegant and fitting of the area. Dobbs veered away from the minimalism trend, preferring a more sophisticated fit out, where his customers can feel really comfortable.
OS offers a flexible lunch and dinner menu where you can indulge in a three-course meal, or pop in for a plate of charcuterie and glass of wine. It’s adaptable, which is how Dobbs and his wife Marie, planned it. There's a strong focus on community – all the suppliers are local. Chef Rachel Ginty – who was sous chef at Cicciolina before becoming proprietor of St Kilda and Windsor Delis – is behind the small but comprehensive menu. And finally the wine, carefully selected by Dobbs, the list is well thought-out and decently diverse.
