The More The Better
Former barista Min Seo knows there is more to Korean cuisine than barbeque. To prove it, she set up a small, innovative little restaurant, The More The Better.
Those in search of a mid-week Korean meal will be content with TMTB’s hot-stone bibimbap with portobello mushrooms, sunny eggs and bulgogi beef.
Where The More The Better really shines, however, is with fusion: a huge plate of bahn-bahn fried chicken done half sweet, half salted is gloriously bad for you; green tacos with tofu, kimchi, tomato salsa, seaweed and teriyaki eggplant are equally tasty and infinitely less guilt-inducing. Salt-and-pepper silken tofu or Jap Chae glass noodles are prepared with a light touch.
Dishes are accompanied by a thoughtful beer list, with niche brews such as Hitachino Nest, Bia Hanoi and Robot Ninja joining the usual suspects. Wines are also commendable, with a handful of local and international wines joining a short, sharp selection of soju and sake.
Plus, with a pleasing playlist and a considered and comfortable fit out, The More The Better is a welcoming place to spend the evening. The more of The More The Better, the better.
