Chef and restaurateur Scott Pickett (ESP, Saint Crispin) is heading south for the first time. His newest restaurant, Matilda, is designed by star firm Projects of Imagination and named his daughter.

As at restaurants such as Embla, Ramblr and Igni, the menu will be driven by cooking over naked flames. Matilda will be open for lunch and dinner seven days, and brunch on weekends.

The restaurant is located inside United Places Botanic Gardens, a forthcoming luxury 12-suite hotel. Guests will receive breakfast hampers directly from Matilda and have priority seating in the restaurant at lunch and dinner.
