Features
Magic Mountain Saloon is a neon-lit, three-level venue (with a DJ often spinning tunes in the mezzanine) that boasts bold and creative Thai food. Flavours here are salty, spicy, sweet and ought to be enjoyed with a cold drink in hand.
The large menu at Magic Mountain is great for sharing at the long marble tables, with small plates such as chilli and lime popcorn chicken; peking duck salad; garlic and chive dumplings; and curry-filled arancini. Substantial share-style dishes from the wok include DIY barbeque pork baos, sticky beef ribs, and curried soft shell crab. A line-up of classic Thai-style curries, noodles and salads round things out.
As for drinks, there's a good selection of beers on tap and a carefully matched wine list, plus plenty of spritzes, cocktails and mocktails – perfect for a warm night on the balcony.
The mezzanine is ideal for cocktail parties, with DJs playing multiple times a week. If you’re after something more intimate, make a beeline for the cosy booths.
