The Cellar Bar – along with three sister venues (Florentino, Cafe Florentino, Ombra) – has been a popular Italian eatery at the top end of Bourke Street since the 1950s. Edition Hospitality and Rebecca Yazbek purchased the lot in 2025.
Now, Florentino’s Cellar Bar is an intimate, affordable and cosier alternative to its sister venues. The dark wood-panelled interior is as classic as the service from waitstaff in white aprons here. Take a seat at the bar on the northern wall and you’re sure to strike up a conversation with another diner.
The menu is simply antipasti and pastas, changing seasonally depending on what produce is available. Swing by after work for daily aperitivo hours with cocktail and snack specials.
