Salt Loft is the accommodation counterpart to Salt Contemporary Gallery and its upstairs bar Salt Lounge. All three are run by Fiona Kelly and David Beaumont. Set down a laneway to the rear of the gallery, this studio apartment is the ideal spot for a quiet retreat.
Fiona and David keep the studio stocked with essentials for a relaxed weekend by the sea – from books and magazines to beach towels. There’s Pedro Ximénez sherry and chocolates on arrival too – perhaps an apéretif before a cocktail at the bar, or a nightcap once you’ve retired for the evening.
The modern bathroom has a sizeable bathtub, where someone can unwind while the other relaxes on the balcony. There’s a full kitchen to transform the fresh produce you’ve been gathering while exploring the peninsula, and a Nespresso machine and French press at hand to make your morning cuppa.
It’s just a short stroll to a number of cafes, restaurants and providores along the main street if you’d rather head out.
