Design company The Anatomy contributed to the fit out, breathing an earthy, natural feel into the space with vegetation bursting from glass urns, wooden crates suspended on the wall, and a fireplace. The windows have been peeled back letting the spring sunshine spill onto the banquettes. And if you like a side of people watching with your eggs, perch yourself on one of the stools that overlook the street.

All the usual suspects are present on the menu, with an Oscar Cooper twang emphasising local produce. Small Batch supplies the coffee with a host of rotating single origin roasts. And, for an extra hit with your caffeine, Oscar serves a sweet Espresso Martini.
