Store Fifteen

6:30am - 3:00pm
15 Main Street Mornington 3931

Sian and Matt Lee left Melbourne for a sea change on the Mornington Peninsula, but missed Melbourne’s cafe culture. Store Fifteen opened in 2014, specialising in wholefoods, boutique coffee and raw organic treats.

Sian has a passion for simple, nourishing food that doesn’t compromise on flavour. She created the menu with help from staff. It’s seasonal and completely plant-based, with an abundance of vegan- and vegetarian-friendly options.

There are vegan nachos, salad jars, a kimchi pancake and açaí bowl with housemade granola. Everything is available to take away.

This industrial-themed interior shares the same focus on raw elements. Cushions are made of hessian bags; and a wall of stacked apple crates divides the 20-seat cafe space from the open kitchen.

Coffee beans come from Melbourne roaster Dukes. There’s also a range of caffeine-free alternatives, including matcha and golden lattes. The ginger and turmeric for the golden lattes is cold-pressed in house, and teamed with Store Fifteen’s housemade almond milk.

Cold-pressed juices and smoothies are also made in-house. Choices include the Green Omega with banana, avocado and almond milk, or the Mango Health, made of mango, passionfruit, banana and cashew cream.

For something sweet, there’s Pana Chocolate in the cake cabinets, alongside Store Fifteen’s raw caramel slice and Snickers bar.
