Flock Cafe

6:00am - 4:00pm
2 25 Dava Drive Mornington 3931

Flock Cafe is hidden away from the main streets, where an old fish and chip shop once stood.

Owner Amy Caulfield wanted to run a cafe from the age of eight. After a month-long renovation, her dream became a reality in December 2013. Initially, she only planned on selling coffee. But the business grew and Flock is now a full-service cafe, treasured by locals.

The cafe seats 25 inside and has outside tables too. If there’s a shortage of tables, grab a picnic rug and take your breakfast or lunch in Campbell Reserve across the road.

Caulfield is a self-taught cook and created the entire menu; the breakfast roll with eggs, bacon and house-made tomato jam is famous among locals. All of Flock’s slices, snacks and jams are made in-house, too.

Coffee comes from local roaster Commonfolk. Cold-pressed juices and soft drinks are also available.

The fit-out includes polished concrete floors, white subway tiles and bi-fold windows on either side of the building. Caulfield and her dad made the tables from old doors bought at an auction house in Richmond.
