The Corporate Moose

Mildura native Glenn Wallace and his wife Christal opened The Corporate Moose in 2015, as an American-style alternative to the city’s plethora of Aussie pubs. Classic US imagery pervades the sizeable establishment, from vintage Coca-Cola signs to a Muscle Beach-themed beer garden.

And while the beer choices span many Aussie favourites (including local gems from Mildura Brewery), US icons like Budweiser, Blue Moon, and Pabst Blue Ribbon are well represented, too. A focus on whisky doesn’t mean that other spirits are neglected either.

The food menu is all about casual American eats, with sandwiches ranging from a Rueben to a Philly cheese steak. Nine burger styles include a sloppy joe and other vertically-stacked standouts. Even the vegetarian option arrives dressed with onion rings and ranch. The focus on comfort food extends to beef and pork ribs, Southern fried chicken, house-smoked buffalo wings, po-boy-style hot dogs, and an impressive array of loaded fries and nachos, with sides of coleslaw and mac and cheese.

Plenty of touring artists stop here to play on weekends, and look out for special events like burlesque shows and luau nights. For a quieter hang, head to the pool tables or indoor fireplace and make a more mellow time of it.
