Located in the Kilcunda Coastal Reserve, this coastal hideaway is walking distance to the centre of town. It’s the most luxurious of the Kilcunda Oceanview Holiday Retreat accommodations. The interior is simple and cosy, with highlights of wood and red throughout the house.

There are three bedrooms (one with an en suite) and a family bathroom with a spa bath if you’re unwilling to brave the ocean. The pebble gas fire will keep you warm; and the fully equipped kitchen means you can pick up some local produce from nearby Udder & Hoe and cook for yourself.

Large windows afford a panoramic view from Phillip Island’s Cape Woolamai to Cape Paterson. There’s a telescope for stargazing, and a barbeque on the deck so you can watch the sun set over the coastline while cooking dinner and breathing the fresh sea air.

During the day, head down the retreat’s private path to the beach and explore the rockpools, or take advantage of the on-site tennis court. The George Bass Coastal Walk also begins nearby. It runs along the coast to San Remo, passing rock formations, sandstone cliffs and secluded beaches.

Bass Coast Fat Bikes is located next door and offers bike tours along the coastline.
