R Hotel Geelong

The R Hotel Geelong is a set of serviced apartments and hotel rooms in a heritage-listed building that makes the perfect base for exploring Geelong and its surrounds. It’s a five-minute walk from Eastern Beach and thanks to the size of this regional city, it’s walking distance to all the best restaurants and attractions it has to offer.

The grand building that houses R Hotel Geelong first opened in the 1850s and has been reinvented multiple times since. In 2017, it was lovingly restored into its current iteration after being left vacant for over 40 years, and modern apartments were built on top of the original heritage structure. The boutique hotel rooms are spacious and modern, but beautiful features like large arched windows and timber floors punctuate the space.

There’s a range of accommodation options: one- or two-bedroom hotel rooms, one- or two- bedroom apartments and larger loft-style apartments. Some rooms are dog-friendly for those who can’t travel without their furry friends. Le Cafe is the on-site restaurant: it serves coffee, breakfast and light meals from 7am to 11am every day, and is available to hire for after-work functions.
