From midday on Friday you’ll be able to order booze with your food from 30 restaurants in Melbourne that work with UberEats.

Primo, Thirty Eight Chairs, On It Burgers, Homeslice Pizza and Shizuku Ramen & Craft Beer are just some of the restaurants involved.

Unlike other alcohol delivery services, such as Tipple and Deliver Me Drinks, UberEATS will only deliver beer or wine with a meal; this is not a bottle-o transport service.

Alcohol delivery with meals from the 30 restaurants involved will be available from midday to 9pm. The maximum amount of alcohol that can be delivered with any one order is one bottle of wine and six beers.

You’ll need to be over 18 and able to show valid ID to the UberEats driver or they won’t hand over the alcohol. Same deal if they think you’re intoxicated.

To celebrate the launch, a $30 meal deal (plus $5 for delivery) will be available from 19 restaurants on Friday night. It includes food and a four pack of beer. It coincides with the AFL clash between Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs on Friday night.
