Gathering Melbourne’s elusive food trucks together in a single, convenient location – along with a well-stocked bar – was always going to be a hit. But even we’ve been surprised by the enthusiastic turnout at Trailer Park over the last four weekends.
Hungry hoards of food truck groupies and rookies braving the fickle August weather were rewarded with classic burgers and fries, fiery curries, buffalo fried chicken, tacos and rich pots of crème brûlée courtesy of the first fleet of food trucks: Beatbox Kitchen, Cornutopia, Gumbo Kitchen, The Curry Truck and The Brûlée Cart.
The event was such a hit that vendors repeatedly sold out of food before each weekend had come to an end.
September ushers in a new line-up of travelling vendors: White Guy Cooks Thai, Chingon Taco Truck, Souvlaki Cart, Mutter Krause and Rue de Crêperie.
With Village Melbourne’s ample communal benches and formidable selection of local and imported craft beer for between bites, there’s no reason not to head to Trailer Park for your first or second helping.
Trailer Park gathers every Saturday and Sunday at Village Melbourne.
