Téta Mona is home to traditional Lebanese cooking in Brunswick East, with dishes such as falafel and kofta on the dinner menu.

This summer Téta Mona will open for lunch, with a wrap bar pop-up beginning on December 10 and running until the end of February.

"We've have had so many enquiries over the years for lunch trading hours so we though we'd give the people what they want,” says co-owner Antoine Taouk.

"Mona wraps will be a lunch wrap bar with all the Middle-Eastern goodies available as they would be in the street side tuckshops of the villages in Lebanon.”

On the menu, you’ll find wraps including the arnabeet (fried cauliflower, dukkah, tomato, tahini), lahem (slow-cooked lamb, chickpeas, tomato, garlic yoghurt), djaj bi toum (cinnamon chicken, thyme potato, cabbage, garlic cream), the samke harra (chilli baked barramundi, fresh herb salsa, tomato, cucumber, tahini) and a classic, homemade falafel wrap.

The lunch menu also includes traditional Lebanese desserts such as baklava with almonds, chia and pepitas, and a rosewater crumble.

Téta Mona’s lunchtime wrap pop-up opens on December 10 and will run Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 11am to 3pm, until the end of February.
