The heart of the city is getting a country shake up this week. Federation Square is hosting the seasonal Flavour Exchange festival on Thursday and Friday. Showcasing local beers, wines and producers, the festival brings together a collection of producers from around the state to Federation Square so city dwellers can try them all without having to take a week-long drive.

Held four times a year, the Flavour Exchange gives exposure to some of Victoria’s best seasonal producers. The gathering not only allows patrons to sample the wares but also to meet the producers and talk about their craft and where their produce comes from.

Among more than 50 producers you can sample up to 14 “tastes” per ticket and purchase products to take home. Tastes on offer include: beers from Barrow Boys Brewing and Coldstream Brewery; wines from Dal Zotto and Hanging Rock Winery, and produce from Prom Country Cheese and Melbourne’s own Rooftop Honey and Pressed Juices. With Christmas coming up the Flavour Exchange could be an ideal place to stock up.

The Flavour Exchange runs over December 4 and December 5 at The Atrium at Federation Square, from 4.30pm. We're giving away five double passes valid for either Thursday or Friday. Just email win@broadsheet.com.au with 'Flavour Exchange' in the subject line to enter. Winners will be notified by email.
