Taste of Melbourne has been cancelled as a result of the wild weather bearing down on the city.
The decision was made to ensure the safety of guests, exhibitors and staff after consulting with emergency services.
The festival brings together notable restaurants, chefs, food and drinks from across the city.
Scheduled to run this weekend at MCG’s Yarra Park, the event was to include live performances, art workshops, cooking classes and more than 100 food producers.
Ticket holders are being asked to keep their tickets and will be contacted over the next week regarding refunds.
