You might not know him, but you know his restaurants. Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa is the man behind the eponymous global Japanese restaurant empire that now spans five continents and more than 30 restaurants.
In March, Nobu is coming to Melbourne for a two-day festival. And he’s not coming alone.
The executive chefs from Nobu in Beijing, London, Doha, Dubai, New York, Manila, Perth, Kuala Lumpur, Miami and Hong Kong are coming, too.
Over two days, chef Nobu will lead masterclasses with chefs Mark Edwards (from London) and Sean Tan (from Melbourne). You can watch, taste (and down some sake) for $225. You’ll also be walking out with a signed Nobu cookbook.
If you’re looking for more drinking, and less masterclassing, Nobu is also hosting a cocktail party that will feature canapés from Nobus around the world, as well as signature dishes including Matsuhisa shrimp with caviar and black cod with butter lettuce. Kirin and Veuve Clicquot will be flowing.
