With summer just around the corner and daylight savings well in effect, night market season is upon us and the Queen Victoria Market is set to impress.
The Night Market has been a go-to destination for 16 years now. Perfect for a post-work wander, you can food trot over 60 global street food offerings, including the delectable soft shell crab brioche burger from Hammer & Tong and Mamak’s signature Malaysian satays and roti, before hitting up a regional themed bar for a glass of sangria or a cocktail. Once you’ve snacked your fill, The Night Market has collaborated with Multicultural Arts Victoria to put together a full program of live busker-style music over three designated stages; the soundtrack for your midweek summer evenings.
When you’ve eaten to capacity, drunk more than you probably should on a school night and need a break from your hot shoe shuffling, there are over 150 stalls to explore, showcasing local designers, artists, gourmet regional produce and vintage fashion.
Kicking off from November 6, The Night Market at Queen Victoria Market will run every Wednesday night during summer.
