Josh Lefers, the man behind Melbourne motor-themed burger joints Grand Trailer Park Taverna in the CBD and Truck Stop Deluxe in Werribee, is next planting his flag in Ascot Vale.

Motorhome Majestic will open next month on Union Road.

“It’s a great area and the more I spoke to people there, the more I realised there is a need for somewhere fun and casual where everyone can go.”

Lefers and his team have installed converted motorhomes for booths and benches in the large, Astroturf-ed space.

The familiar burgers from the other venues will be on the menu, with the addition of pork ribs and chicken wings.

There will be a handful of cocktails on tap, including Espresso Martinis and Margaritas.

“Everyone knows that great restaurants make everyone feel welcome, and that’s what we’re planning here,” says Lefers. He hopes families and locals in the suburb and its surrounds jump on board.

There are plans to introduce a home-delivery service (food and drinks) for Ascot Vale residents.

Motorhome Majestic is slated to launch on February 10 and will be open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 10.30pm.
