If you forked out $525 for The Fat Duck in Melbourne, you might want to stop reading.

The British chef is opening four pop-up stores in different locations across Melbourne in early March, in which everything will be free.

The Hidden Heston pop-ups are part of Masterchef Australia’s “Heston Week”.

Clues for the pop-ups will be disclosed to fans of the TV show and details of the location only revealed shortly before the opening. Each store will be open for one service only.

The celebrity chef threw Melbourne into a frenzy when he announced he was temporarily closing the molecular-gastronomy restaurant in Bray in the UK and transporting it to Crown for a six-month pop-up. The Fat Duck closed in September, leaving the permanent Dinner by Heston restaurant in its place.

More to come.
