Well, they sold like...hot cakes, really. The first Flour Market spring bake sale at Magic Johnston on Saturday was bigger than Texas, with early morning lines snaking out the door and down Johnston Street. Most of the baked treats had walked out the door by 11am, but the milkshakes, spiders and filter coffee kept on coming to keep the crowds happy. The Everyday Coffee stall was raising funds for the Familia Moja Bakery project in Kenya, and took in $545.85, plus a further $100 from fellow bakers Danjo, all of which will be donated. This is set to be the first of many Flour Market events, so if you missed out this time, be assured they'll be back bigger and armed with more treats next time.
