To mark its first birthday New Shanghai is giving away free buns – yes, you read that right.
From Monday June 8, stop by the Emporium dumpling house between 11am and 12pm to pick up your pan-fried pork bun, totally on the house.
“All of our dishes are created the traditional way from ancient recipes passed down through the generations,” manager Jerry Chang says.
Steamed before being pan-fried, New Shanghai’s pork buns have become known for their crunchy golden base and juicy filling. Bunlovers can stop by every day until the party wraps up on Thursday June 11.
For the final hurrah, anyone who dines at the restaurant on Thursday will get a complimentary bun with every meal.
“The last 12 months have been an incredible journey. We have been overwhelmed with the positive response that New Shanghai has received,” Chang says. “We are so happy that we’re able to celebrate our first birthday with our amazing, loyal customers.”
New Shanghai is shop 323 on level three of Emporium, 287 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. It’s open Saturday to Wednesday 11am–7pm, Thursdays and Fridays 11am–9pm.
