During May, Sacred Heart Mission has partnered with cafes and restaurants across St Kilda and neighboring suburbs to host dining events that will raise money for those who are homeless or disadvantaged. It all culminates in the main event – the Dine With Heart Dinner on Tuesday May 26.

Two hundred will guests dine on the stage of St Kilda’s Palais Theatre. The food will be by 10 leading Melbourne chefs including Ian Curley (The European), Chris Watson (Luxembourg Bar & Bistro), Daniel Wilson (Huxtable, Huxtaburger) and Jesse Gerner (Bomba, Anada, Green Park). Matching wines will also be donated.

3RRR presenter Cameron Smith will host the event. There will also be live music, auctions and the chance to chat with chefs between courses.

Until May 31, participating restaurants in and around the St Kilda area, including Donovans, Mr Wolf, Radio Mexico and Republica, will ask diners to donate $4 at the end of their meal, which will go towards Sacred Heart Mission’s Meals Program.

Run from the organisation’s St Kilda dining hall, the Meals Program, which has been running for 33 years, provides more than 400 meals each day to those in need.

Tickets for the Dine With Heart dinner are $220 and are still available. More information about participating Port Phillip restaurants and cafes can be found at sacredheartmission.org.
