Since opening in 2008, Andrew McConnell’s Flinders Lane restaurant Cumulus Inc. has established itself as no less than a cultural landmark. The all-day diner committed to locally sourced premium produce has, under McConnell’s tutelage, grown to become a must-do on the city’s food map.
This month the restaurant is celebrating its tenth year of existence with a series of festivities. The centerpiece is a truly decadent, day-long food tour – and you and nine of your friends have the chance to join in.
Collected from Cumulus Inc., you and your guests will be driven north of the city, past Mount Macedon and Woodend to Curly Flat Winery in Lancefield. Stretching across 14 hectares of the Macedon Ranges, the award-winning cellar door produces pinot noir, chardonnay, pinot gris from its cool rolling hills.
It’s here you and your crew will enjoy a guided tour and tasting before a barbeque lunch cooked by Andrew McConnell himself. Once sated and settled, you’ll return to Melbourne and be ushered into Cumulus Inc.’s upstairs bar, Cumulus Up, for wine and nibbles to round off the adventure.
