Now Delia's opening Maha East, a swish new Middle Eastern wine bar in the old Biggie Smalls Windsor space. It’ll seat 40 and have a wine list featuring new- and old-world wines from Israel, Turkey, Lebanon and Morocco.
Delia says dishes at Maha East will balance the spice, heat and flavours he remembers from his childhood. Think Moroccan-spiced French fries with house-made za’atar and kefalograviera, which the chef compares to a “Greek salty parmesan”; grilled grass-fed beef steaks brushed with garlic and olive oil; and savoury doughnuts filled with taramasalata, deep-fried and topped with dill and caviar.
A few old favourites from Delia’s Bond Street flagship will make the journey across to Chapel Street too, such as Turkish delight doughnuts, slow-roasted lamb shoulder and Maha’s much-loved Pomegranate Sour cocktail.
The new eatery is launching in late June, but you’ve got the chance to nab a table before it opens to the public. One winner will receive a four-course meal with matched drinks for six people at Maha East’s family and friends night on Wednesday June 26. You'll be one of the first to experience the new restaurant and sample dishes and drinks from its debut menu. Plus, you’ll get to meet the chef.
Entries are now open, and close on June 20. Enter below for your chance to win*.
