This competition has now closed. Congratulations to the winner Luisa B.

In partnership with Mr Yum, Broadsheet is offering one lucky reader the chance to win an entire year’s worth of weekly date nights.

We’re not talking repeat visits to the local karaoke bar. The prize is offered in collaboration with 52 distinct Melbourne venues, meaning the winner gets a year-long tour through some of the best our city has to offer.

The prize is thanks to digital menu-helper Mr Yum, which allows diners to view photos of dishes before they order. Founded in Melbourne by Kim Teo, Adrian Osman and Kerry Osborn, the platform is designed to give users a one-stop, comprehensive insight into menu items.

No app is required to use the feature. Once in a cafe, restaurant or bar, users scan the paper menu’s unique QR code with their phone’s default camera app for the digital menu to appear. Diners will then see expanded details of the dishes on their phone, including beautiful photos, ingredient definitions, dietary filtering and translations.

Launched earlier this year, Mr Yum recently introduced the ability for customers to order and pay for food and drinks on their phone while seated inside the venue.

Mr Yum venues participating in the prize include CBD favourites Mamasita, Lucy Liu and Pastuso; southside staples Mr Miyagi, Radio Mexico and David’s; and, northside of the river, Stomping Ground, Rice Paper Scissors and Fargo and Co.

Enter your details below for the chance to win. Full terms and conditions here.
