If there was ever a day to buy yourself an extra cup or two of coffee, this Friday August 8 is it.

StreetSmart is back with its simple charity concept, CafeSmart: buy a coffee at a participating cafe, and they will donate $1 of the purchase to help the homeless in your local community.

It doesn’t leave you out of pocket (though you are most welcome to pay the difference), and you know you're helping someone in need. All you need to do is find a participating cafe. It shouldn't be hard – in Melbourne alone there are about 150 CafeSmart locations to choose from.

To learn more about CafeSmart read our article here, or visit the website here.

Broadsheet has put together a list of participating cafes. Find one near you on August 8.
