Three-time Grammy Award winner Dua Lipa kicked off the 2025 leg of her Radical Optimism Tour on Monday March 17, with a five-show run at Rod Laver Arena that wrapped up on Sunday March 23.

The pop star is known almost as much for her impeccable taste as she is for her music. Last time she was in Melbourne, she visited hot spots including Hope St Radio and Carlton Wine Room and wrote about it on her lifestyle recommendation site Service 95.

This time she hung out at even more local faves before going Houdini (and, presumably, to Sydney for her next run of shows).

Food and drink

While in town, Lipa stopped by chef Audrey Shaw’s Hot-Listed Fitzroy venue Carnation Canteen for lunch with her Electricity and Dance The Night collaborator Mark Ronson. The pop star also dropped into DJ and restaurateur Grant Smillie’s California-influenced Hot-Listed venue Marmont at Crown.

She visited Cam’s Kiosk at the Abbotsford Convent with stylist Lorenzo Posocco when DJ Danny Issues was spinning and posted a photo of the kingfish crudo on her Instagram feed. Lipa also got a tuna melt from Hector’s Deli, which prompted her to take over the CBD store on Sunday March 23 for an afterparty with natural wines, fries and sandwiches. She also reposted a photo of herself and Hector’s Deli founders Dom Wilton and Vanessa Bossio on her Instagram story, writing, “Best sangaaas in Melbs!!”

Wellness

Lipa’s younger brother, Gjin Lipa, joined her for a private soak at the Mornington Peninsula’s Alba Thermal Springs and the two sported the spa’s fluffy white robes. She also visited Collingwood’s luxe, Soho House-inspired members-only wellness club Saint Haven.

Culture

The pop sensation went to check out another icon’s work, visiting the NGV’s blockbuster Yayoi Kusama exhibition. Then she sneaked in some shopping and dropped into record store Plug Seven on Smith Street, Fitzroy.
