Tin&Ed, Raph Rashid & Michael Delany Do Spring Racing

At a time when creativity and the Spring Carnival are somewhat estranged, Lavazza coffee have teamed up with Mojo Wine in the Birdcage at Flemington, to create a marquee by enlisting creative talent rather than relying on (pop) cultural capital.
Laterally minded designers, Tin&Ed, have been commissioned to design the concept, fit-out and installation. Raph Rashid of the Beatbox Kitchen will be doing the food, and Michael Delany - of The Bottom End in Melbourne (who has also designed a swagger of other nightspots in Sydney like The Norfolk, The Abercrombie and The Flinders) - the drinks. Daimon Downey (ex Sneaky Sound System) will be MCing the event, and the Cobrasnake will be there to take your picture with the daughter of a Rolling Stone.
It’s an interesting concept for the Spring Racing Carnival this year, which seems much in need of a good party. And when the fashion leaves the field, the festivities will roll on into the evening with party afterwards at Chin Chin’s Go Go Bar.
Amore Mojo is taking place at the Lavazza marquee on Stakes Day at Flemington, Saturday 5 November.
