As Melburnians live through a second lockdown, the summer bushfires that devastated parts of regional Victoria earlier this year can feel a bit like a distant memory.

And now, with city dwellers’ plans to hit the road and holiday around the state unfortunately on hold (again), many Victorian wineries are doing it doubly tough.

One way to help wineries affected either by the virus, the fires, or both – and sample some topnotch drops at the same time – is by buying direct.

“As a small winery, direct sales are our lifeline,” says winemaker Marcus Satchell, who co-owns Dirty Three Wines in Gippsland. “When you buy direct not only are you helping us stay in business, you also have the opportunity to get to know us, the people behind the bottle, who put their heart and soul into each and every one."

Dozens of Victorian wineries deliver to Melbourne, so below you'll find a handful of highlights for each region, as well as – for most regions – a link that'll take you to a more comprehensive list.
