• The Lucas Group has launched two new delivery-only concepts. Melbourne, meet Yubi and DiDi Dumplings.

• The Recreation has launched deluxe picnic hampers for summer. Located down the road from one of Melbourne’s best picnic spots, it made sense.

• Deliveroo has launched a new concept in Windsor: it’s a kitchen devoted solely to delivery – separate from a restaurant – and 8bit, Kong and Messina are tenants.

• The Everleigh has created 200 sets of limited-edition bottled cocktails made with antique spirits dating to the 1950s. Merry Christmas.

• Melbourne’s favourite floating bar is back, with deck-striped cushions and luxe day beds channelling a Mediterranean beach club. Take a peek inside Arbory Afloat.

• Ovens Street Bakery is only open on Sundays, for now. Baker Pip Hayes specialises in sourdough loaves and pastries including a rich polish doughnut called a pączek.

Bang Bang Canteen has popped up at the Riverland Bar by the Yarra. Enter for South East Asian food and ice-cold Beer Lao.

• Michelin-starred Hawker Chan officially has an opening date in Melbourne. Come December, expect snaking queues for the world's cheapest Michelin-starred meal.

• Shannon Bennett’s new seafood restaurant Iki Jimē has opened in the CBD. Walking into the restaurant, you may feel you’ve stumbled into a ship.
