If you’re tired of gulping down your coffee before you set foot in that store with the ‘no food and drink’ sign politely posted in the window, then we may have something for you.
Grace, on Malvern Road in Hawksburn has recently embraced the ‘coffee while you browse’ ideal, by opening their own mini Sensory Lab in-store. Serving Sensory Lab coffee, along with cakes and baguettes to help customers get the most out their Grace experience, this is boutique shopping with a coffee hit.
“We chose Sensory Lab because they’re the best for coffee,” says Georgia Danos, co-owner of Grace with Ilana Moses. “It was a collaborative thing with Sensory Lab. This is our third week [serving coffee] and it’s been a fantastic start.”
With the chic label-store leading onto a sunny and relaxed courtyard, adding a cafe-spot seemed like just the right thing to do. “Our ladies love it,” says Danos.
“People can walk around with their coffee, but mostly customers like to sit and nibble. Plus it’s great to watch our full-time Sensory Lab technician at work - such a good synergy.”
Sure, you can grab a bag of Sensory Lab beans from Grace to take home and DIY, but barista Oscar Crosara will be happy to prepare something for you while you shop.
