The Perfidia #2 – A Cocktail By The Everleigh

The Everleigh mix up a fresh, citrusy, Sailor Jerry rum cocktail for summer as a wonderful alternative to a Mojito.

The drink was created by Lauren Schell (the other half of The Everleigh team). Inspired by a traditional smash cocktail, it is a wonderful alternative to a Mojito and will be great for the upcoming summer. It’s light and refreshing, full of fresh fruit, mint and tasty [Sailor Jerry] rum. It's flavourful, fresh and citrusy, and goes down perhaps a little too easily.

Recipe makes 1

In a shaker…

Muddle:

3 slices of orange

3 slices of lemon

6 mint leaves

15ml of sugar syrup (recipe 1:1 caster sugar to water)

Add:

3 dashes Angostura bitters

60ml Sailor Jerry rum

Shake all ingredients with a medium sized piece of ice. Strain over small pieces ice in a tumbler. Garnish with a mint sprig.
