Sure, you could spend your time in self-isolation channelling ’90s Tom Cruise in Cocktail batching up drinks for the days ahead. Or, you could buy a 1.5-litre goon sack-style “bagnum” of Negroni to keep in the fridge and pour at will.

The bar at Footscray’s Mr West is closed for the time being, but the downstairs bottle shop is open with a wide selection of beer, wine and spirits, including some exclusive products not available elsewhere.

One such product, by its in-house brand Good Spirits, is the Negroni Bagnum, which contains 16 to 20 serves of Negroni for an economical $99. That’s less than five bucks a pop.

The mix is made with Poor Toms gin, Campari and house-blended vermouth. All you need to do is pour the cocktail on ice, add a wedge of lemon and you're done. There's also an Espresso Martini Bagnum for the same price, if that's more your flavour.

Same-day delivery is available in the inner-western suburbs. Otherwise, two to five business days should do it.
