Sure, you could spend your time in self-isolation channelling ’90s Tom Cruise in Cocktail batching up drinks for the days ahead. Or, you could buy a 1.5-litre goon sack-style “bagnum” of Margarita to keep in the fridge and pour at will.
The bar at Footscray’s Mr West is closed for the time being, but the downstairs bottle shop is open with a wide selection of beer, wine and spirits, including some exclusive products not available elsewhere.
One such product, by its in-house brand Good Spirits, is the Margarita Blanca Bagnum, which contains 15 serves of Margarita for an economical $99. That’s $6.50 per Marg.

SIGN UPThe clear blanca Margarita mix is made with white tequila, mezcal, dark agave nectar, and a distilled lime-based concoction to extend its shelf-life.
All you need to do is pour the cocktail on ice, add salt to the rim of your glass and squeeze in some fresh lime.
Same-hour delivery is available in the inner-western suburbs. Otherwise, one to two business days should do it.
There are also “bagnums” of Negroni and Espresso Martini, if those are more your style.
