What’s happening around town
• Hot Listed wine bar Brico and new cocktail bar Hands Down will join forces for Sunday lunch on December 21. Book in for lunch at Brico featuring signature cocktails and frozen drinks from Hands Down.
• Subterranean Japanese restaurant Ishizuka in the CBD has launched its summer menu. Enjoy Wagyu claypot rice, crisp kataifi-wrapped prawns and more from executive chef Katsuji Yoshino, whose CV includes time at Michelin-starred restaurants in France: Troisgros, Pierre Gagnaire, David Toutain and Le Grand Vefour.
• Founder Tim Williams has sold Fieldwork Coffee. The brand and business will now be run by Arthurs Creek Coffee, while the roastery lease has been transferred to Standing Room. Williams will continue to operate Fieldwork’s Degraves Street cafe, which will soon operate under a new name.
• Hot Listed St Kilda wine bar The Walrus has closed.
