What’s happening around town
• A Hunted & Gathered pop-up shop is opening at 118 Gertrude Street in Fitzroy over two weekends in the lead up to Christmas. The Melbourne chocolate brand will be offering limited releases, including its seasonal orange almond bars, and a complimentary treat with purchases over $180. From 11am to 6pm Thursday to Sunday
• Bench Coffee in Brunswick is holding a holiday market from 9am to 4pm this Saturday and Sunday. There’ll be stalls from local makers including Yolkeye Ceramics and Shuh Lee, as well as a sausage sizzle with hotdogs served in Little Cardigan’s koppe pan (fluffy Japanese buns)
• Stop by Good Measure to see works (and maybe purchase one, too) by food writer and photographer Harvard Wang. His exhibition Selling Kyushu features six large-format prints taken on the south-western Japanese island. There’s a launch party on December 17 from 6pm.
