Owners Greg and Brooke Brassil have recently sold their Fitzroy cafe, Addict, to open up their dream CBD venture, All Good Coffee. After eight years of planning, the couple has finally secured an ideal space on Little Collins Street. “The big shopfront window and the laneway windows are perfect for watching busy city life go by,” says Greg.
The cafe offers specialty coffee from local roasters, Market Lane and Small Batch, and a nostalgic cup of hot Milo. You won’t find chai or tea here – Greg and Brooke admit they don’t have a passion for either. “It wouldn’t be getting the attention it deserves,” says Greg, “but Milo, on the other hand – who doesn’t love a good Milo!”
The menu is small with six brunch options to appease your bagel needs, although the feta on toast with beetroot and apple slaw is a simple, refreshing feed. The treats selection includes pastries from Noisette Bakery, sweet pies and biscuits from Bakewell & Co, doughnuts from Shortstop and the All Good “must-try” – Camilla’s “Kingston” biscuits.
With a timber fit-out from Ingrain Designs and greenery by Loose Leaf in Collingwood, the cafe is bright, natural and relaxing – Greg describes it as everything a “workspace in the city might not be”. Because it’s an intimate space, All Good is best for a solo coffee or for small groups and is a quick and easy takeaway option.
