Created by Vuong Nguyen, Anthony Tuong and business partner Ed Arthy, the three began their company Inside Out Nutritious Goods last year, selling at Bondi Farmers Market in Sydney. After their first batch sold out in 20 minutes, they knew they were onto a good thing. They’re now stocked in select branches of Thomas Dux,The Nutrition Bar, Lamanna Direct and a number of independent health stores, grocers and cafes.

The flavours Inside Out offers include salted caramel, cacao, cold-brew coffee, strawberry and spiced vanilla. But despite the treat-like flavours, this almond milk keeps to the founder’s original goal: a healthy alternative to cow’s milk. The new flavours are low in sodium, high in good fats and dietary fibre and packed with vitamin E.

One of Inside Out’s founders, Vuong Nguyen, says the additional flavours were suggested by customers. “We had so many people approach us about making different flavours. We listened to the feedback from our loyal followers and gave them what they wanted!”

Don’t think Inside Out’s cold brew is just a fancier name for your average iced coffee – the team is doing the cold-brew method itself in house. “There are plenty of iced coffees out there, but we don’t know of anyone using actual coffee beans or brewing it themselves,” says Nguyen.

The trio source their almonds from South Australian growers, and make their milk fresh in Ingleburn, NSW. They recently launched their own coconut water and a new line of coconut milk will come out next week.
