Matcha Kobo , the CBD cafe known for milling matcha in-house, is hosting Japanese tea master Yuki Okamoto’s first-ever Australian tea ceremonies. Okamoto is the 10th-generation head of the Hosokawa Onryu, a Kyoto-based tea institution dating back centuries. Immerse yourself in the heritage of Uji matcha and learn about tea ceremony etiquette from the Japanese tea master on Saturday November 1 and Sunday November 2. Tickets are $115 and include a take home a matcha kit.

• Melbourne-based Japanese tea company Cha Haus is launching a new matcha spread, to bring out its Matcha Spread in all Muji stores in Australia. The vegan spread is made using shiroan (white anko bean paste). The matcha spread will be available at Muji stores from Thursday October 16.
