What’s happening around town
• Karen Martini and her partner Michael Sapountsis will take over Bar Carolina, Joe Mammone’s Italian restaurant in South Yarra. Mammone revealed the plans in an Instagram post last week, announcing he was stepping away for personal reasons.
• Hot-Listed Entrecote has brought back its breakfast menu. Three-egg omelettes with soft herbs and gruyere, minute steaks and more are available daily from 8am to 11am.
• Andrew McConnell’s Hot-Listed Flinders Lane restaurant Supernormal is serving a special dumpling menu – including Moreton Bay bug wontons and fried duck egg custard buns – until Sunday October 12.
