What’s happening around town
• Mr West is celebrating eight years this Friday August 29 and Saturday August 30. On Friday, the Footscray bottle shop and bar is launching two collab brews: a Vietnamese iced coffee-inspired sour with Sailors Grave and a Biere de Garde (a French ale) with Sobremesa and Good Good Burgers. On Saturday, there’ll be a Good Good Burger pop up from 1pm to 5pm, followed by a party with a DJ and special drinks menu from 5pm.
• Lagoon Dining is hosting an eight-course dinner with Mill’s Kitchen on Saturday September 6 at 7pm to raise money for the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The dinner is limited to 40 seats, with funds going towards refurbishing the ICU staff room. Tickets are $300 per person.
