Pop-ups are always popping off around Melbourne, and September is no exception. From a Korean-Filipino feast from two of the city’s most exciting chefs to an Onam celebration at Mischa Tropp’s Toddy Shop, here are six pop-ups to check out next month.

Toddy Shop x Sandeep Sreedharan

Mischa Tropp of Toddy Shop is collaborating with chef Sandeep Sreedharan from Bombay to celebrate Onam, the annual Hindu festival and Kerala’s state festival, from Wednesday September 11 to Sunday September 15.

Sreedharan will make his Onam sadhya, a vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf (a meat option will be available). Traditional North Keralan dishes, including pumpkin erissery (pumpkin curry) and kadala kootu curry (black chickpea and chana dal curry), will also be plated on a banana leaf. For dessert, there’ll be sevai (a vermicelli dish made with cardamom and saffron) and moong payasam (pudding made using lentils). Bookings are recommended.
