Broadsheet is launching Dine Out, a new annual food festival in Melbourne and Sydney this August.
In partnership with Mastercard, Square and Cat Amongst the Pigeons, we’re staging 40 events across the city, featuring Melbourne’s best chefs, restaurants, bars, bakeries and more.
The first events were announced in June (including a collab between Florian and Hope St Radio and a Melbourne event with Bistra and Sydney institution Corner 75).
Today we’re excited to share the final round of venues and dishes with you. All tickets are available at dineout.broadsheet.com.au.
Andrew McConnell’s Hot-Listed cocktail bar Apollo Inn and the team from Hot-Listed Herbs Taverne, one of Sydney’s best new bars, will be mixing their best Negronis and amaro-based cocktails for one night only, with special matched snacks joining the Apollo Inn’s usual menu.
Also in the CBD, Junda Khoo will welcome sushi master Toshihiko Oe of Sydney’s six-seat omakase restaurant Sushi Oe, and steak pro Corey Costelloe of Sydney’s 20 Chapel (number 93 on the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list in 2025), for a collab dinner at his new venue Ho Jiak.
Gen-Z favourite Cam’s Kiosk will team up with 19-year-old Hot-Listed institution Gerald’s Bar for an evening of one-off snacks, DJs and drinks. And the team at Northcote’s Goodwater is bringing in the sandwich guns from Nico’s for sangas paired with wild-fermented beers and vintage American whisky.
Two of our favourite wine bars are also hosting one-off collabs for Dine Out. In the north, Hot-Listed Public Wine Shop will welcome Alisdair Brooke-Taylor, currently of Canberra’s highly regarded Bar Rochford for a one-night-only four-course dinner. And south of the river, Hot-Listed Albert’s will host a long Sunday lunch paired with wines from biodynamic Red Hill South winery Avani.
Yarra Valley winery Zonzo Estate and beloved cheesemonger siblings Ellie and Sam Studd will team up with The Westin hotel’s Allegro Restaurant for a Dine Out edition of the venue’s high cheese (a dairy-filled spin on high tea).
In addition, a bunch of venues are putting on special drinks, dishes or entire menus for Dine Out: Baker Bleu x Six-Eyed Scorpion, St Ali x Piccolina, Stokehouse Pasta and Bar, Poodle Bar & Bistro, Lilac Wine Bar, Mr Mills, Don’s, Hot-Listed Dodee Paidang, Rocco’s Bologna Discoteca, Hot-Listed Frankie’s Tortas and Tacos, Molli, Freddy’s Pizza, Her and Green Cup.
Broadsheet’s Dine Out festival debuts from August 4 to 10, 2025, in Melbourne and August 11 to 17, 2025, in Sydney, with 80 events across the two cities.
