Just in time for spring.
Michael Patrick and Kent Bell of Fancy Hank’s BBQ Joint have teamed up with Daragh Kan and Myles Munro of Mr Burger to launch new rooftop bar, Good Heavens.
The bar will sit above their new Fancy Hank’s Bourke Street venue, which opens this September.
Where the downstairs restaurant specialises in American slow-and-low-style barbeque, upstairs will embrace a “summer in Palm Springs” theme, complete with DJs, terracotta fittings and a pastel colour scheme.
As with the interior, the cocktails don’t hold back on the kitsch. Good Heavens will serve Pina Coladas, Blue Lagoons and Harvey Wallbangers, likely to an audience experiencing these old classics for the first time.
Upstairs will have its own bar-snack menu, featuring spicy Southern chicken ribs dressed in buttermilk and honey, chilli nachos with brisket mole and a grilled cheese with smoked lamb neck.
Good Heavens will open this September at 1/79 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
