El Jannah Is Bringing Its Famed Birds to Four New Suburbs Across Melbourne

Melbourne has a long-held love affair with chicken shops. And El Jannah is a name that consistently features on people’s best-of lists.
The beloved Lebanese charcoal-chicken joint first opened in Sydney in 1998. For more than two decades the brand has cultivated its cult-like following and a raft of franchises have popped up across NSW, ACT and Victoria.
El Jannah opened a new site in Dandenong in April followed by a store in Niddrie.
The two new stores will be followed by locations Ferntree Gully and Kensington, which are slated to follow in August and September, respectively.
Along with its signature fresh-grilled chicken and house-made garlic sauce, El Jannah will serve fan favourites, such as tender shawarma beef and tangy tabouli, across all Melbourne locations.
El Jannah is now open at Shops 1–3, 26 Princes Highway, Dandenong, on Saturday April 27.
This article was updated on Friday July 12 to reflect changes in planned opening dates.
