Rise and Shine: El Jannah Launches Its First Breakfast Menu in Melbourne and Sydney

El Jannah has long been a go-to for its flamed-grilled chicken, but now the cult-favourite brand is turning its attention to mornings. For the first time in 25 years, the Lebanese Australian chain has introduced a breakfast menu, rolling out across select New South Wales and Victorian stores this month.
At the heart of the menu is the Kaki Charcoal Breakfast Sandwich – a golden sesame pocket grilled over hot coals and packed with bold, authentic flavours. Options include haloumi and mozzarella melts, spicy sujuk sausage with crisp lettuce and a sweet knafeh-inspired cheese sandwich with rosewater syrup. For El Jannah fans, it’s no surprise that the famed garlic sauce also makes an appearance.
Loaded hummus plates served with Lebanese bread make the list, plus a handful of breakfast meal deals, including scrambled eggs with buttery brioche and jam. There’s also a cheeky incentive to linger – order two Kakis and you’ll score a free coffee.
It’s a natural next step for the beloved chook chain, which has spent 25 years perfecting the art of simple, crowd-pleasing food. And if this new chapter is anything like its signature charcoal chicken, mornings in Melbourne and Sydney just got a whole lot more exciting.
The breakfast menu is available 6–10:30am at Smithfield and Bankstown in Sydney, and Campbellfield and Braybrook in Melbourne, with more locations to follow.
